Make sure you book in any exterior painting and decorating work early as Cheltenham gets busy!

Every year I bellow the clarion call to action: "Make sure you book early to guarantee your exterior decorating work - as very few decorators will be able to take you on if you leave it too late!"

And each year we do get enquiries looking to have outside walls painted with only 2 weeks before the ideal start date. By that time, of course, it's often too late for us to book any placement for our new clients, as exterior painting jobs are arranged months (and sometimes the year before), in advance.

Cheltenham is a busy place. There is no other way to put it - and when the weather warms up, with the sun climbing higher each day (rather than the miserly 24 degrees today which is its maximum altitude, not even enough to make my shadow's length the same as my height), and the rains lessen, then we at LK Cheltenham Decorators will be busily engaged outside for months on end. We have a window which usually runs from mid-March through to September in which we can do exterior painting and decorating: for like Goldilock's porridge, it has to be the right temperature to set properly.

Again, it is worth reminding my faithful readers (both of them!), that we also have the ability to use cherry-pickers on sites, which can save a lot of time and money as an alternative to scaffolds and towers and are ideal for gables and roofing areas rather than wide surface areas that would be required when painting a wall. So it is always good investigating that potential when you are looking to get the outside of your house painted.

So remember, book early for exterior painting and decorating as Cheltenham will get pretty solid come May.

Happy painting!
